Linksens focused on high-end intelligent water quality monitoring equipments and solutions
Shrimp Survival Rate Up 13% Through 24/7 Multi-Parameter Monitoring
Pond Aquaculture · Hainan, China
A large-scale marine shrimp farming base operating over 500 acres and 20 ponds faced repeated water quality crises under high-density farming conditions. Manual testing once or twice daily using test strips could not capture overnight dissolved oxygen crashes or sudden ammonia spikes from residual feed decomposition. With 6 workers required for shift-based inspections across 20 ponds, labor costs were high and data remained fragmented — feeding and water exchange decisions relied entirely on operator experience, leading to resource waste and extended farming cycles.
Linksens deployed a multi-parameter intelligent monitoring system across all 20 ponds. Each pond was equipped with the S-DO011 Dissolved Oxygen Sensor, S-NH134 Ammonia Nitrogen Sensor, and Digital NH4+/pH/ORP/K+ 3-in-1 Combo Sensor, providing continuous 24/7 monitoring of the parameters most directly linked to shrimp survival. Sensors feature anti-biofouling coating and corrosion-resistant housing for long-term underwater operation in high-salinity conditions, with only monthly cleaning required.
Data is transmitted in real time to a cloud-based aquaculture management platform accessible via mobile app. When dissolved oxygen drops below 5 mg/L or ammonia nitrogen exceeds 0.5 mg/L, the system automatically triggers alerts and activates aerators and water exchange valves — forming a closed-loop cycle of monitoring, warning, and response. The C-MT013 Water Quality Controller manages automated equipment integration across all pond sensors.
| Metric | Before | After |
